Fourth Monday of the Month Meditation and Book Discussion

Location:  Island CoHousing Common House.  Turn left on Stoney Hill Road off of State Road if driving up Island, then left on Rock Pond Road and follow to circular drive.

Peer-led 20 minute silent meditation followed by discussion of current book selection.  Brief meditation instruction on request.  Chairs available - bring your own cushion if you sit on the floor and any extra support needed for chair sitting. No charge.

We are currently reading  Active Hope, How to Face the Mess We're in without Going Crazy, by Joanna Macy & Chris Johnstone.   During our October gathering, we will continue to discuss Part Three: Going Forth. You are encouraged to bring to the circle something from this section that speaks to your experience with the balance of “not knowing”, meditation practice, and wise action in the world.

PLEASE COME FOR MEDITATION AND DISCUSSION EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE THE READING — YOUR PRESENCE AND IDEAS WILL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR COMMUNITY PRACTICE.
