General information:

  • This will be a silent, intensive meditation retreat that will consist of alternating 30- and 45-minute periods of sitting and walking meditation, mindful movement, with time for Q & A and a teaching talk from Chas on Saturday evening.

  • Participants are welcome to register for either Saturday or Sunday, or for both days. If coming only for one day, we strongly suggest attending on Saturday, because the meditation instructions will be incremental.

  • We ask that registrants commit to stay for the entire time period that you register for. Leaving the retreat before the end of a day or the end of the weekend will have an adverse effect on all participants.

  • Meals will be in silence.

  • Please bring your own dish, utensils, drinking cup, food and beverages. We will eat together, but you are responsible for supplying what you need. Refrigeration is available.

  • If you are not already accustomed to meditating on the floor, we suggest that you plan on using a chair for this retreat. There are padded folding chairs available, but please bring any additional padding, supports, or blankets you may need to sustain your meditation posture and comfort. If you sit on the floor, please bring your own meditation cushion and floor mat/pad.

  • Please refrain from using scented lotions and potions.

  • If you are coming from off Island, there are five parking spaces available in Woods Hole at the Church of the Messiah. Call ahead to reserve a space: Deborah at 508-259-1570 or EMAIL at dwarner74@aol.com
